DEMOCRACY!!!!

We all have waited with bated breath to see the outcome of the Elections 2009 here in INDIA. Not that we have a choice in choosing the leaders, since we are always forced down out throats with candidates of the Party's choice and never ours. Until and unless wherein few independent candidates show the guts to stand up against the party's choice but alas, how much can they fight against money and power?? Guess end of the day we get to choose the lesser DEVIL and give them the rights to rule us (yeah rule us) though they are supposed to take care of the electorate.

Tomorrow bein the D day with the counting startin off early mornin and sure towards mid day we should know which of the lesser DEVIL is gonna rule us for the next 5 years. Unfortunate that I couldn't exercise my rights, but hell still I would like to see a government installed which would look at takin us ahead, instead of takin us backwards with respect to development. I'm even contemplatin of not headin for the gym, just to ensure that I do not miss any of the actions out there.

Well end of the day, definitely we are gonna have quite a bit of horse tradin and all the dirty tricks of politics is gonna be happenin right in front of us, guess there is very little we can do given that most likely we are gonna have a fractured verdict. Guess thatz where DEMOCRACY plays an important role.

I would be more than happy if we are gonna have a government which would think progressively and ensure to make us feel that we did vote for the right bunch of guys and not idiots who are only tryin to fill their coffers for themselves and the next generation.

Till then, waitin with bated breath to see whatz gonna be bestowed on us for the next 5 years.

  1. Contrary to the popular perception, Democracy is not always the right solution.
A more professional way of selecting the candidate for the Top job is required. Though I do not have the 'how ' part, I think we will be better of matching the skill sets of a person against the ministry [ Finance Ministry, For Example ] and choosing the candidate rather than fooling a bunch of innocent people who are naive to believe in the promises and win an election.
