Settle in LIFE??????

I'm sure all of us have at some point heard this!!!!! "SETTLE IN LIFE". I suppose we all have our own definition of settlin down in LIFE. Even our elders have a definition, which invariably leads to you bein married off and yeah then havin kids of course the car and house is part of the deal too..

Thanks to my colleague who just walked upto me to ask if I had any luck with my partner search and when I told her I'm in no hurry and I would like to take my life as it comes, she came up with this line sayin that I'm 30 (thanks I didn't know that!!!!!!) and then she mentioned about settlin down in life.. Well guess this is where we disagree!!!! I mean, for me settlin down is not all about gettin married, havin kids and buyin a car and house.. I rather have life my life on a roller coaster, wherein everyday is an adventure for me and everyday is gonna be a surprise. Thatz thrillin, isn't?????

I would rather take a sabatical from work, go around the world, see places, meet people, make new friends and hell enhance my knowledge about people and country. Well marriage can happen in the process and it would be great to have company in doin all this, who would want to do all this all alone???? Definitely I'm not the one, I rather have company for all this. Oh, yeah we were talkin about settlin down, doesn't that mean that we are gonna be tied down with mundane activities everyday and we would rarely get a chance to spice up our life?????

True, some day we should slow down, but why now?????? probably at 90 we can slow down, till then live life as if there is no tomorrow and make every moment of it worth it and guess settlin down is somethin which comes along, instead of we plannin to settle down.

I'm hopin atleast the future generation is never gonna be bogged down with this idea of SETTLIN DOWN, instead wishin and hopin that they get to explore what the world has to offer us, though itz a different topic to discuss, wherein today's kids are SETTLIN down, but they are SETTLIN down in front of a monitors with the Wiis and PSPs!!! Ahhhhh talk about generation GAP ;-)
